INTERESTED IN COMING ALONG?
If you would like to practise Zen with me at East Barn Zendō, please contact me using the link below. When I reply I will provide directions to the zendō, which is a few miles outside Wells.
The classes begin at 7:00 pm on a Monday and 7:00 am on a Friday. However, it is important to arrive at least five minutes before these start times. Once we begin zazen, the door will be shut and we will be unable to accommodate late arrivals.
The Zendō is well supplied with cushions, mats (zafus, zabutons) and wooden kneeling stools, although you are welcome to bring your own cushion, stools, etc, if you prefer. It's not essential that you are able to sit on the floor to do zazen. It is quite possible to practise zazen in a chair, and I keep some suitable chairs available for those who need one. Whichever way you choose to sit for zazen, it's best to wear loose, comfortable clothing - preferably black, or a plain dark colour (there is a space to change, if you need it).
Thank you for your interest.
